Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and implementation of instrument mastering concepts, approach, and processes, with a strong emphasis on understanding the business need across various functions
  • Take the lead in shepherding projects end-to-end and partner with IT to decide on future state architectural decisions of the instrument data
  • Perform instrument mastering across various sources and aspects of a financial instrument, including instrument types, sectors, issuers, reference attributes, and cross-references
  • Monitor and resolve data discrepancies timely
  • Ensure new instruments and changes to existing instruments are timely identified and captured in the mastered instrument data
  • Coordinate and liaise with external vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, ICE) to source instrument-level attributes based on internal stakeholder needs
  • Confirm that all data is received per daily and monthly requirements
