Requirements

Minimum 15-18 years of industry experience in software engineering, with at least 7+ years in managerial roles overseeing teams and projects
Experience leading end-to-end delivery, meeting account objectives, managing Application outsourcing, and Managed Services engagement for large Insurance (Life & Annuity) clients
Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale software development projects, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), collaboration, and team leadership abilities, with demonstrated success in managing diverse engineering teams
Expertise in managing software projects, including resource planning, timeline tracking, and risk mitigation
Solid understanding of Japanese Insurance market/domain, particularly Annuity products
Relevant certifications such as LOMA, PMP, Scrum Master, or technical certifications are highly desirable
Hands-on experience with Micro Focus tools and COBOL, JCL, DB2 for UDB
Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Experience with Vantage and wmA products is a significant advantage

Responsibilities

Manages business development, identifies and develops new opportunities
Manages project financials
Drive accurate project estimations, including effort, timeline, and resource planning, ensuring realistic project commitments and on-time delivery
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries, and ensuring high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to maintain high standards of code quality, design, and technical excellence
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, and drive performance assessments and career development planning
Support BA team in query resolution & defect analysis
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth
