Requirements

  • Minimum 15-18 years of industry experience in software engineering, with at least 7+ years in managerial roles overseeing teams and projects
  • Experience leading end-to-end delivery, meeting account objectives, managing Application outsourcing, and Managed Services engagement for large Insurance (Life & Annuity) clients
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale software development projects, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), collaboration, and team leadership abilities, with demonstrated success in managing diverse engineering teams
  • Expertise in managing software projects, including resource planning, timeline tracking, and risk mitigation
  • Solid understanding of Japanese Insurance market/domain, particularly Annuity products
  • Relevant certifications such as LOMA, PMP, Scrum Master, or technical certifications are highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with Micro Focus tools and COBOL, JCL, DB2 for UDB
  • Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Vantage and wmA products is a significant advantage

Responsibilities

  • Manages business development, identifies and develops new opportunities
  • Manages project financials
  • Drive accurate project estimations, including effort, timeline, and resource planning, ensuring realistic project commitments and on-time delivery
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries, and ensuring high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to maintain high standards of code quality, design, and technical excellence
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, and drive performance assessments and career development planning
  • Support BA team in query resolution & defect analysis
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth
