Position Overview

Flock Safety is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Installation Technician to join our Field Operations team. As the face of our company, you will interact with customers in the field, installing our innovative technology solutions that help eliminate crime and keep communities safe. This role requires a strong work ethic, critical thinking, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install poles of varying lengths per install specifications, including digging holes (minimum 8” x 36”).
• Mount solar panels on poles and attach external batteries to solar panels.
• Affix license-plate reading cameras with PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) technology to poles.
• Work on both public and private roads, often on equipment 10-12’ high.
• Regularly operate a bucket truck and/or ladder to work on equipment up to 30 feet high.
• Repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring.
• Provide installation pictures via the Flock field app on a mobile device.
• Perform administrative tasks, including inventory management and receiving product shipments.
• Perform all work in a safe and professional manner.
• Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys.
• Interpret traffic control plan and permit drawings to identify the proper installation location for a Flock device.

Requirements

• Physical Demands: Frequent/continuous bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and independently lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Field Experience: Prior experience in field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring is a plus.
• Equipment Operation: Prior knowledge of operating a bucket truck is a plus.
• Driving: Must be comfortable driving a work van (Ford Transit) and occasionally a 1-ton pickup truck (Ram 3500) or towing a small trailer.
• Tool Proficiency: Prior use of power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment.
• Ladder Work: Must be comfortable working on ladders at high heights.
• Handyman Skills: Handyman-like experience, whether personal or professional.
• Soft Skills: Good time-management, organization, and communication skills.
• Work Environment: Desire to work outdoors and comfort working in all weather conditions and outdoor elements.
• Technical Aptitude: General knowledge of technology and the ability/desire to learn and work with new software/tools.
• Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computer skills, Office Suite, Google Suite, and email.
