Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to meet company vehicle insurance requirements. Prior experience with field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring is a plus. Prior knowledge of operating a bucket truck is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable driving a work van and occasionally a 1-ton pickup truck or towing a trailer. Prior use of power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment is necessary. Handyman-like experience is beneficial. Good time-management, organization, and communication skills are required. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and possess general tech knowledge with the ability to learn new software. Basic computer skills including Office Suite, Google Suite, and email proficiency are necessary. Availability to work Monday-Friday during daylight hours, with occasional overtime, is required. Expect to travel up to 3 hours for service tickets regularly, and occasionally up to 8 hours with overnight accommodations provided, not exceeding 30% travel.
Install poles of varying lengths, including digging holes, and mount solar panels and external batteries. Affix license-plate reading cameras with PTZ technology to poles. Work on both public and private roads, often at heights of 10-12 feet, and regularly use a bucket truck or ladder to work up to 30 feet high. Repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring. Provide installation pictures via the Flock field app. Perform administrative tasks such as inventory management and receiving product shipments. Conduct work in a safe and professional manner. Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys. Interpret traffic control plans and permit drawings to identify proper installation locations.
