Position Overview

The Implementation Startup Leader is a regional role responsible for launching new automated distribution facilities across the country. This individual will serve as the first boots-on-the-ground leader to activate new buildings, build local teams, and implement operational processes that ensure seamless startup and long-term success. By partnering closely with cross-functional departments—including Engineering, IT, Talent, and Operations—this role is instrumental in building scalable, standardized, and high-performing distribution sites.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the readiness and activation of automation systems in new fulfillment facilities.
  • Build and manage launch teams to support startup execution at each new site.
  • Hire, staff, and train local operations teams on GreenBox standard operating procedures.
  • Own financial performance for multiple sites, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth. Ensure operational objectives are met within financial targets.
  • Develop and implement startup checklists, playbooks, and operational templates.
  • Plan and execute site layout validations, including battery stations, scanners, labeling zones, flow paths, and etc.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, IT, Talent, Safety) to ensure technical and operational alignment before Day 1.
  • Design and deliver training programs for drivers, warehouse associates, and equipment operators.
  • Represent Operations during cross-functional planning sessions, site walks, and launch support.
  • Identify operational gaps and execute mitigation plans ahead of go-live.
  • Standardize operational KPIs, processes, and training protocols across all buildings.
  • Act as a feedback loop between site-level operations and design/engineering teams to optimize processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of operations management experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain, including a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership overseeing multiple sites or regions.
  • Proven track record managing large teams with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and driving profitability through data analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent vendor negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Successful experience leading greenfield or startup logistics/automation projects.
  • Experience hiring and training frontline teams in fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment settings.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, IT, Safety, and Talent teams.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse automation systems and distribution best practices.
  • Experience developing SOPs, training programs, and operational templates.

Our Environment

  • Remote, travel-based position.
  • Travel extensively (up to 75%) to support multi-site launches—location flexible; does not need to be based in Atlanta.
  • Travel is required up to 75% of the time.
  • Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible to own a credit card and manage expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
