Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management or related area (MBA or Master’s degree in Human Resources preferred)
At least 8 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent, working with employee relations, policy development, benefits and compensation administration, staffing processes, and organizational development
Knowledge of federal, location/country/region laws and labor practices as they relate to the HR function
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Responsibilities
Provide advanced-level generalist duties and resolve highly complex matters in two or more functional areas such as recruitment, employee and/or labor relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development and training
Facilitate a collaborative environment and implement appropriate change management initiatives
Provide customer service to support the business through consistent application of HR policies, state-of-the-art training practices, team progress, and initiatives on challenging assignments
Provide strategic HR consultation to optimize people, structure, process, and culture to achieve business results
Understand facility organizational structure and knowledge of federal and location/country/region laws and labor practices
Provide training/coaching for less experienced HR staff
Plan, administer, and deliver programs in two or more areas of HR
Develop business partnership relationships with management and employees through expert consultative counsel and support of the HR function
Create an environment to support ongoing development of internal talent by identifying training needs, designing and conducting training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness
Diagnose organizational development needs, implement effective solutions, and build effective teams
Support company recruiting efforts to retain the best talent
Deliver employee relations counseling, new employee orientations, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews
Lead salary administration, benefits projects, special group projects, and other generalist duties as required
Recommend, develop, communicate, and implement new approaches, policies, practices, and procedures to improve efficiency, services, and problem resolution, consistent with regulations or government law
Lead employee activities/events at multiple locations
Effectively communicate, establish, and maintain effective employee relations with all levels of management and employees across all divisions
Provide support for the Product Leadership Culture
Demonstrate advanced competency in trouble-shooting, problem-solving, and customer/vendor/partner interface skills
Take initiative on challenging assignments and create opportunities where none exist
Manage facility Affirmative Action Plan, Dispute Resolution Program, and hourly evaluations in conjunction with the American Management Association (if applicable)
Research and analyze various types of data and information
