Job Description

The HR Operations Specialist is a key contributor to our HR team in Costa Rica, ensuring excellent service delivery and guidance in HR policies and processes. This role is instrumental in driving HR operational excellence and supporting our people services and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, offering advice and guidance through established service channels to our Experian's staff, including leaders and HR colleagues.
  • Facilitate the use of HR systems and processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Collaborate with HRIS to manage and resolve system incidences efficiently.
  • Contribute to HR analytics, reporting, and decision-making tools to support strategic business needs.
  • Partner with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
  • Participate in HR operational efficiency projects, policy reviews, and process automation.
  • Oversee relationships with people services providers, ensuring the smooth delivery of services such as insurance and employee assistance programs. Act as a liaison to address and resolve any issues with benefits administration and inquiries.
  • Partner with regional and global colleagues in process standardization and alignment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of digital employee files, ensuring sensitive information is securely stored and accessed only by authorized personnel.
  • Create and process purchase requisitions for HR-related expenses, managing procurement processes and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, coordinating orientation sessions, preparing necessary documentation, and guiding new employees through company policies, procedures, and culture to foster a positive onboarding experience.
  • Facilitate the offboarding process for departing staff, conducting exit interviews, and ensuring compliance with exit procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in HR or administrative roles with a focus on service excellence.
  • Languages: Fluent in both English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Project Experience: Demonstrated experience in HR projects is advantageous.
  • Reporting Tools: Knowledge of reporting tools and applications is preferred.
  • Education: Completed bachelor's degree preferred; Advanced degree studies in HR, Administration, or related field.
