Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Administrative Assistant 3 follows established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective secretarial support to an office, business unit, department, or other organization. This role performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment, and may apply intermediate mathematical skills. The Administrative Assistant 3 must be a self-starter that identifies requirements, anticipates requests, and takes initiative to mitigate needs.

Responsibilities

  • Typing of correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Compiling information for reports, presentations, etc.
  • Answering telephones, screening calls, and taking messages so callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately.
  • Transcribing, typing, formatting, and proofreading a variety of material (e.g., correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, presentations) using Microsoft Programs.
  • Maintaining appointment and travel schedules.
  • Composing routine correspondence.
  • Maintaining office files, official company records, and executives’ administrative policies.
  • Organizing high-level meetings with Government, Sub-Contractors, and Field Associates.
  • Building and managing relationships across Humana in support of department objectives and the team.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Department of Defense contract requires U.S. Citizenship for this role.
    • Experience with making travel arrangements and managing expense reports.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, including the office suite of technology.
    • Ability to balance multiple initiatives and prioritize workload.
    • Ability to use multiple systems or software simultaneously.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Capacity to maintain confidentiality.
    • Flexibility to support urgent business needs/requests, including at minimum nights and weekends.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint creation.
    • Experience with onboarding new associates.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    • Notary.
    • Experience proof-reading/editing.
    • Experience with expense reports and reviewing financial documents to align with company policy.
    • Data entry.
    • Corporate Savviness.

Location and Work Arrangement

  • Location Type: Hybrid
  • This will be a hybrid role, working some days at home and others in the office. Candidates selected for hire should plan to work 2 days in the office.
  • Candidates must live within a commutable distance to one of the following in-office locations:
    • 101 E. Main Street, Louisville, KY.
    • 101 E. Boulevard, Charlotte, NC.
    • 1812 N Moore St, Arlington, VA.
  • Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Compensation

  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Pay Range: $53,100 - $72,500 per year
