Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field, and 5-8 years of experience in HRIS or a similar role. They should have at least 3 years of experience with Workday, along with proficiency in 3+ Workday modules such as Core HCM, Reporting, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Learning, Peakon, Benefits, Recruiting, Journeys, Help, and Workforce Planning. Workday Pro certification is strongly preferred, and direct experience in a Workday implementation is also preferred. Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency, are required, as well as a thorough understanding of the system life cycle and object-oriented architecture.
The Workday Specialist, HRIS will configure and maintain Workday core tenant and business functionality, including business processes, custom objects, calculated fields, notifications, testing, reporting, dashboards, data integrity, and user training for at least three modules. They will participate in ongoing Workday configuration design, deployment, and maintenance, manage full-cycle HRIS projects encompassing project planning, testing coordination, and decision tracking, and develop technical process documentation for end-user adoption and training. The Specialist will establish protocols for data integrity and conduct regular data audits, create and maintain Workday reports, act as the primary contact for EIB uploads, contribute to testing scripts and user acceptance testing, establish HR metrics, and collaborate with internal and external teams. They will also research, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Workday issues, translate functional requirements into technical specifications, and perform other duties as needed.
