Requirements

  • Resident Dining Feeding Assistant Program - Avera within 1 Year
  • Preferred: High School or GED Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning resident rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls
  • Delivering flat wear linens to all neighborhoods
  • Washing and drying personal linen and other areas
  • Washing beds and mattresses
  • Washing walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills
  • Keeping utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition
  • Utilizing supplies and chemicals in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations to avoid waste and unnecessary cost
  • Replacing soiled drapes and cubicle curtains
  • Disinfecting and sterilizing equipment and supplies following approved policies
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; vacuuming carpeting
  • Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • Emptying wastebaskets and outside trash receptacles; transporting trash and waste to disposal area
  • Ensuring sufficient supply of clean and well-maintained linens to all areas in an economical and efficient manner
  • Keeping linen shelves and linen storage rooms clean and in orderly condition
  • Washing and drying personal linen in all Neighborhoods according to policy and procedure
