About the Role

AssemblyAI is seeking a Head of Product Marketing to be a foundational member of its marketing team. This role is pivotal in defining AssemblyAI's narrative, target audience, and unique selling propositions. You will collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to bring this vision to life. This leadership position is crucial for establishing marketing infrastructure and setting the standard for marketing initiatives at AssemblyAI.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in B2B product marketing.
  • Technical Audience Acumen: Experience marketing to and working with technical audiences and developers is highly desirable.
  • Startup Environment: Prior experience in a growth-stage startup is preferred.
  • Product Strategy Influence: Demonstrated success in collaborating with product teams to shape product strategy and manage new product introductions.
  • Go-to-Market Expertise: Proven experience in establishing go-to-market processes for new product launches.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess people management and leadership experience.
  • Revenue Enablement: Experience supporting revenue teams through training, positioning, developing enablement materials, and assisting with competitive deals.
  • Audience Segmentation: Ability to market to diverse audiences and buyer types, with experience creating segmentation strategies to succeed in key use cases and industries.
  • Demand Generation Collaboration: Experience working with demand generation teams to test messaging and develop campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Build PMM Foundations:
    • Develop messaging and positioning frameworks.
    • Create buyer personas and ideal customer profiles.
    • Establish competitive intelligence processes.
  • New Product Launches:
    • Partner with product and revenue teams to launch new products.
    • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product introductions.
