Requirements

  • British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
  • Able to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team whilst managing the priorities of a number of varied tasks in the context of a bigger picture
  • Proven track record in delivering and supporting complex hardware to cost and schedule
  • Able to coordinate external suppliers, including acceptance activities
  • Willingness to undertake regular, short duration, European travel
  • Experience with large mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical generation and distribution (beneficial)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the focal point for the Launcher Platform Assembly (LPA) within the UK design team
  • Manage the relationship with MBDA Italy and engage with Italian subcontractors
  • Provide oversight, direction and guidance to de-risk LPA design and delivery
  • Act as a key stakeholder and leader in developing the relationship with MBDA Italy
  • Work with MBDA Italy to ensure schedule adherence, quality, industrial validation, product development, etc
  • Build relationships with and influence Italian stakeholders (MBDA IT and wider IT supplier base)
  • Provide key leadership and liaison role to ensure coordination, common understanding and prioritised delivery focus between UK and Italy to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations
