The Clubhouse app is the flagship product, with a strong base of passionate users. The roadmap for it is exciting, as AI opens up entirely new ways to bring people together – from unlocking new ways to fuel recommendations, to launching magical new tools for live conversation, to exploring novel ways for humans and AIs to interact. As the Head of Discovery for the Clubhouse app, you’ll be directly responsible for shaping this roadmap, working closely with the CEO, Head of Growth, Head of Product, and the rest of the team.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 7 years of battle-tested experience leading teams and strategy in recommendations (e.g., feed ranking, push notifications, and search).
  • Skills:
    • Hands-on experience building and executing from high-level strategy to detailed experiments within the Discovery landscape.
    • Systematic thinking and ability to break down complex problems into clear goals, strategies, and roadmaps.
    • Strong product sense and ability to deeply understand user needs (functional and emotional).
    • Track record of shipping products that users love.
    • Ability to move quickly and ship – scoping things tightly, sequencing them properly, and hitting deadlines.

  • Shape the roadmap for the Clubhouse app, working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Lead teams in building and executing discovery strategies.
  • Drive experiments and iterate on recommendation systems.
  • Ensure a systematic approach to problem-solving and strategic planning.
