Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a role involving people management of highly trained technical staff
  • Demonstrated experience with successful resource allocation and management
  • Experience with line management functions, such as drafting job descriptions, hiring staff, and providing critical feedback to staff
  • 8+ years of technical expertise in subsystem/microsystem architecture
  • MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related scientific discipline
  • Be able to work onsite 5 days a week at the Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks site
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance (active SSBI is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Guide team members’ careers by providing opportunities for development while engaging in regular formal and informal feedback discussions
  • Contribute technically through direct technical work and/or technical project leadership, with skills aligned to areas such as Precision Analog, Data Converters (ADC/DAC), Digital RTL-to-GDS, Frequency Synthesizers, Tunable Filters, Subthreshold Logic, or Subsystem/Microsystem Architecture
  • Manage resources (e.g., allocating team personnel to projects) and acquiring talent (e.g., supporting recruitment)
  • Enhance group member performance through informal and formal feedback
  • Lead and influence strategic planning and technical direction within the department and across the broader reach of HRL departments, laboratories, and projects, including business development strategy
