Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and have 5-7 years of relevant experience in research techniques and solutions within the Tech & Durables, Consulting, Information, Sales, Analytics, or similar fields. Specific industry experience in Consumer Technical Goods (IT, Telecomm, Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances) is strongly preferred, though a CPG/FMCG background may be considered. Prior media industry experience is preferred, along with a proven track record of achieving commercial targets, experience in proposal development and negotiation strategies, and strong senior-level communication, influencing, and presentation skills. Essential qualities include a strong client focus, a drive to close deals, result-orientation, good interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and strong oral and written communication abilities, with a high cultural IQ for a global environment. Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research is a plus, and willingness to travel is required.

Responsibilities

The Global Account Director will own client relationships for existing long-term accounts and develop new business opportunities with both existing and new clients. They will align key customer priorities with NIQ's capabilities, identify and convert opportunities to deepen commercial relationships, drive additional revenue, and surpass annual regional sales targets by implementing the full portfolio of NIQ solutions. Responsibilities include establishing NIQ as a trusted business partner, developing sales strategies for white spots, new business, and cross-selling, and taking a leading role in contract negotiations, including pricing and discounting policies. The role involves developing proposals to NIQ standards, maintaining regular communication and collaboration with regional and local sales associates, and establishing strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, including fostering C-suite level relationships to enhance upsell opportunities. The Director will demonstrate knowledge of client and market trends using NIQ data to identify growth opportunities, communicate NIQ thought leadership and innovations, identify potential problems and propose proactive solutions, and appropriately use CRM/CIDB for sales forecasts and client financials.
