Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ years experience as an AE at a software or marketing technology (martech) startup
  • Minimum 1 year experience prospecting as an SDR/BDR
  • Proven track record of independently closing deals, selling to marketers, and exceeding sales goals at a high-growth startup
  • Understanding of enterprise marketing technology and background in B2B software sales
  • Ability to operate in an early-stage, fast-paced environment as a motivated hunter who can hit numbers, learn/adapt quickly, and create their own playbook
  • Ability to own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Willingness and ability to work out of NYC office 4 days/week (Monday through Thursday; commuter benefits available) if in NYC area (fully remote elsewhere in US)
  • Bonus: Strong proficiency using Hubspot and Apollo

Responsibilities

  • Identify pockets of opportunity within ICP and find creative ways to tap into them
  • Source qualified leads via outbound prospecting
  • Leverage understanding of marketing and software sales to help marketers understand the value of conversational marketing
  • Manage quota and help beat company-level growth target
  • Maintain tight feedback loop with marketing and product teams to share insights from conversations to improve positioning and product
  • Set the pace as a leader amongst the team and help scale
  • Sell and support the founders while shaping product, processes, and culture
