Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of previous food service management experience
  • Passion for food and providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to direct and supervise personnel
  • Understanding of county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Directing department personnel and meeting department goals and objectives
  • Communicating directly with store management and department supervisors
  • Selecting, onboarding, and coaching new team members
  • Scheduling all team members
  • Engaging with customers through smiles, greetings, product information, selling suggestions, and thank yous
  • Taking customer orders and ensuring satisfaction
  • Ensuring department personnel follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ordering products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards
  • Overseeing the preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/food service items (breakfast, lunch, dinner, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, beverages, and snacks)
  • Displaying deli/food service items according to guidelines
  • Following product recipes
  • Rotating deli/food service items for sale, ensuring quality, safety, and shrink control
  • Receiving merchandise, auditing invoices, breaking down orders, and positioning products in storage areas
  • Periodically counting inventory
