Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate a minimum of one year of experience in a retail leadership role, with prior experience in a food-related environment being advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to effectively train and motivate employees.
The Floor Lead will contribute to the success of a Sur La Table store by inspiring customers, supporting training for all employees, modeling and holding employees accountable to customer service standards, and directing daily store operations as a Manager on Duty. They will also provide coaching in the moment and performance feedback, support sales driving initiatives, ensure merchandise stock levels and presentations meet standards, maintain product knowledge, complete inventory transactions, ring employee transactions, and accurately record time worked according to company policy. Additionally, the Floor Lead will demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Store Manager.
