Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electricity and mechanics
  • 2-3 years of experience in assembly, installation, maintenance, and servicing of machinery and equipment
  • Graduation from technical college, vocational school, or university
  • Basic English reading skills (for manuals)
  • Fluent Japanese skills (advanced level)
  • Valid ordinary car driver's license (company car provided)
  • Ability to travel (average 2-3 days per week with overnight stays depending on area)
  • Willingness to relocate (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis, repair, disassembly, reassembly, testing, calibration, and defect correction of equipment (flow cytometry and others) following company repair processes to ensure normal operation
  • Install life sciences equipment, perform repairs (including paid), conduct qualification tests, manage customers, and sell maintenance contracts to contribute to departmental growth
  • Provide on-site services, repairs, and installations for company products
  • Offer technical support to customers on system operation and maintenance
  • Handle customer contact and provide services for technical and problem-solving needs
  • Diagnose system failures and determine the most cost-effective solutions
  • Escalate complex issues to higher levels of technical support or quality reporting systems
  • Report necessary information for product quality improvements to equipment or quality personnel
  • Comply with company vehicle safety program requirements due to frequent travel by company car
