The Abbott Electrophysiology (EP) business is a leader in cardiac arrhythmia treatment, offering a robust product portfolio encompassing both capital equipment and consumables. This role is crucial for providing advanced technical expertise, service, and maintenance for Abbott's capital equipment offerings.


Responsibilities

  • Planning and Installation: Execute the planning and installation of Abbott capital equipment.
  • Product Support: Provide support for trials of capital equipment products.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key lab equipment vendors.
  • Service and Maintenance: Perform service, maintenance, and upgrades on capital equipment products.
  • Database Management: Maintain detailed databases for the location, serial numbers, calibration, and preventative maintenance scheduling of all Abbott capital equipment.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with key customer groups and provide them with exceptional service.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical support to both internal and external customers regarding capital products.
  • Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of and adhere to industry regulations (MTAA), the Abbott Code of Conduct, and Company Compliance requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints in conjunction with the relevant Abbott ANZ Business Unit.
  • Process Adherence: Execute all position and Business Unit responsibilities in accordance with applicable Abbott ANZ Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related functions and responsibilities as directed by the Manager.
  • Flexibility: May be required to work outside of ordinary hours for essential training, team meetings, customer events, or trade shows/conferences, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

Requirements

  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in a Medical field (e.g., Bachelor of Science), a related field (e.g., Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician), or a Business area is essential.
  • Knowledge: Possess good technical, clinical, and scientific knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Decision Making: Ability to make decisions and provide feedback under pressure.
  • Work Authorization: Must hold current, unrestricted working rights for Australia.
