Requirements

Candidates should possess tertiary qualifications in Medical, such as a Bachelor of Science, or related fields like Coronary Care Nursing or Cardiac Technician, along with essential technical, clinical, or scientific knowledge and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Furthermore, applicants must be eligible to work in Australia or New Zealand with current working rights and be able to make decisions and provide feedback under pressure.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for planning and installing Abbott capital equipment, supporting trials of capital equipment products, building relationships with key lab equipment vendors, performing service, maintenance, and upgrades of capital equipment, maintaining detailed databases of equipment information, developing relationships with and servicing key customer groups, providing technical support for internal and external customers, complying with industry regulations (MTAA) and Abbott’s Code of Conduct, addressing customer complaints, executing standard operating procedures, and potentially working outside of regular hours for training, meetings, or events.
