Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field of study, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience safely installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex and safety-sensitive automated systems
  • 5+ years’ experience in an Industrial Gas Plant Environment
  • Knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, NFPA 496, UL 508A, etc.)
  • 3-5 years' experience with industrial controls, computer and PLC networks, setup, and assistance
  • Demonstrable history of completing projects on time and within budget
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time (typically weekdays)
  • High attention to detail and ability to interpret intricate drawings and instruction manuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Experience managing and knowledge of Specialty Gases, Computer Engineering/IT, Electronics, Electrical systems, IO/PLC control systems & methodologies, FEA, CFD, Hazops, PLC controls, HAZOP procedures, Vision systems, Robotics

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management, engineering, IT, safety, and production personnel on system support activities at AT&S across Airgas production facilities nationwide
  • Assist with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Serve as a cross-functional member on a multi-disciplined team to assist with maintenance of automated gas filling, blending, and analytical systems
  • Build, repair, and maintain all systems within AT&S
  • Differentiate and resolve mechanical, electrical, analytical, and IT-related issues
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for sophisticated automation systems remotely and on-site
