Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field of study, or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience safely installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex and safety-sensitive automated systems
5+ years’ experience in an Industrial Gas Plant Environment
Knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, NFPA 496, UL 508A, etc.)
3-5 years' experience with industrial controls, computer and PLC networks, setup, and assistance
Demonstrable history of completing projects on time and within budget
Willingness to travel 75% of the time (typically weekdays)
High attention to detail and ability to interpret intricate drawings and instruction manuals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Preferred
Experience managing and knowledge of Specialty Gases, Computer Engineering/IT, Electronics, Electrical systems, IO/PLC control systems & methodologies, FEA, CFD, Hazops, PLC controls, HAZOP procedures, Vision systems, Robotics

Responsibilities

Collaborate with management, engineering, IT, safety, and production personnel on system support activities at AT&S across Airgas production facilities nationwide
Assist with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
Serve as a cross-functional member on a multi-disciplined team to assist with maintenance of automated gas filling, blending, and analytical systems
Build, repair, and maintain all systems within AT&S
Differentiate and resolve mechanical, electrical, analytical, and IT-related issues
Perform advanced troubleshooting for sophisticated automation systems remotely and on-site
