Requirements

  • Practical experience as a service engineer (any product welcome)
  • Experience using scientific/analytical instruments
  • Ability to connect instruments to networks and operate PCs
  • Comfortable with English and willing to learn
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Transport IC instruments to customer laboratories, confirm installation sites, and perform piping and wiring
  • Power up the instrument, install software, configure initial parameters, and verify basic operation
  • Explain and train customers on basic operation, software use, and routine maintenance methods
  • Visit customer sites periodically under contract to clean the instrument, replace consumables, verify operation, and perform calibration
  • Identify potential issues early and perform inspections or part replacements to prevent failures
  • Record maintenance/inspection results and submit reports to customers
  • Respond to customer calls, check the situation via phone or remote access, and visit as needed to identify the cause of failure
  • Replace defective parts, make adjustments, or correct software issues to restore normal operation
  • Provide rapid response for emergency support when customer experiments are impacted
  • Answer customer questions regarding operation, analysis methods, or troubleshooting via phone, email, or site visits
  • Provide specialized training tailored to customer needs on advanced operations and applications
  • Provide customers with updates on new applications and technical information
  • Participate in overseas business trips as required
