Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and an active RN license in their state of residence, with a preference for a compact multi-state license. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, home health, pharmaceutical, or biotech is required. Prior experience as a nurse educator is preferred, and bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus. A valid driver's license, residency within the designated territory, a dedicated home workspace, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and iPad technology are also necessary. Flexibility for evening/weekend work and willingness to travel up to 60-70% are essential, along with adaptability to changing environments and potential client vaccination requirements.
The Nurse Educator will connect patients with approved educational resources and deliver disease-specific education and training on prescribed medications to support multiple disease states and therapies. Responsibilities include promoting behavioral change through patient-centered education to improve treatment adherence, encouraging effective communication between patients and healthcare providers, and engaging patients one-on-one through various channels like in-person visits, phone calls, video conferencing, email, and SMS, strictly adhering to program guidelines. This role focuses solely on education and does not involve clinical care or medical advice.
