Requirements

Candidates should possess an advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) in a relevant scientific or clinical field. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in biotechnology, pharma, clinical, or research fields is required, with more experience preferred for a Senior MSL role. Prior experience in oncology or diagnostics/biomarkers is strongly preferred, as is experience in a technology start-up environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities are essential. Candidates should be located in the Eastern or Midwestern US with access to major airport hubs and be able to travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

The Medical Science Liaison will provide scientific and clinical education on Artera's AI-based prostate cancer biomarker test and other products to Key Opinion Leaders and Healthcare Professionals. Responsibilities include engaging with clinicians for scientific exchange, providing case reviews, attending conferences, obtaining and communicating actionable insights on product use, supporting clinical evidence studies, and responding to medical inquiries. The MSL will also maintain expertise in disease management, biomarkers, and the competitive landscape, while working cross-functionally and compliantly with internal partners and adhering to regulatory requirements.
