Role Summary – Field Marketing Representative (FMR)

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy, the FMR is responsible for driving Sweed’s door-count and ARR goals. This role focuses on territory coverage (initially Nevada) through dispensary visits, regional event activation, and converting interest into qualified demos for Account Executives. Success is measured by scheduled demos, qualified opportunities, and contributions to closed deals, with rewards tied to a commission plan.

Key Responsibilities

Territory & Visit Execution

  • Strategically plan weekly routes and conduct drop-in visits to 25+ dispensaries weekly.
  • Log all interactions in HubSpot with clear next steps, maintaining ≥ 95% CRM hygiene for accurate funnel reporting.

Event & Partner Activation

  • Coordinate regional pop-ups, trade-show booths, and partner lunch-and-learns from conception to follow-up.
  • Capture 50+ net-new qualified contacts per event and transfer them to Account Executives within 24 hours.

Opportunity Creation

  • Engage with budtenders, managers, and owners to identify pain points and present Sweed’s automation-first platform.
  • Schedule ≥ 8 qualified product demos per week that convert into pipeline for Account Executives.

Data & Governance

  • Accurately tag all contacts, visit notes, and lead sources, adhering to Sweed’s data-integrity standards.
  • Utilize dashboard insights to identify territory gaps and optimize weekly field plans.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Relay field intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and product gaps to Sales, Product, and RevOps teams during weekly syncs.
  • Participate in quarterly voice-of-customer sessions and competitive analyses.

Brand Advocacy

  • Represent Sweed’s values and brand promise in all interactions.
  • Distribute compliant collateral, demonstrate thorough product knowledge, and ensure positive, on-brand experiences for all dispensary stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in field marketing, territory sales, or brand ambassadorship within the legal cannabis or regulated retail industry.
  • Familiarity with dispensary technology stacks (POS, e-commerce, loyalty, payments) and state compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM, with a disciplined approach to data entry and pipeline management.
  • Ability to travel 75%+ within the assigned territory, possessing a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with frontline staff and C-level executives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success in generating pipeline for SaaS, POS, or fintech solutions.
  • Existing network of dispensary decision-makers.
  • Experience in high-growth startup environments (scaling from 0 to $50 M ARR).
  • Knowledge of partner co-marketing or event-sponsorship best practices.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Lucrative variable compensation structure.
  • Remote-first flexibility with company-funded travel.
  • Options for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), paid company holidays, and paid parental leave.
  • Career advancement opportunities to Senior FMR or Account Executive roles as Sweed scales.
