Requirements

  • Senior technology leader with 12+ years of experience spanning software engineering, architecture, and transformation leadership
  • Fluent in ambiguity—able to build structure from chaos and translate between technical and business perspectives
  • Experienced leading large, complex initiatives involving multiple work streams and 20–30+ engineers or technical leads
  • Technically credible at the architecture and design level (200–300 depth); capable of white-boarding solutions, reviewing approaches, and earning respect from engineering teams
  • Skilled at navigating executive-level relationships, handling difficult conversations, and influencing direction through trust and evidence
  • A systems thinker who connects people, process, and technology—never solving in isolation
  • Passionate about mentoring, learning, and helping others grow
  • Application architecture or software engineering background or experience in infrastructure or data, with a cross-domain perspective
  • Strong familiarity with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD and DevOps, platform engineering, and testing and quality automation
  • Previous consulting experience strongly preferred; experience in product engineering leadership (Director/VP/Head of Engineering)

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise transformations: Partner with client executives to assess current-state architectures, uncover root challenges, and define future-state roadmaps that integrate technology, people, and process
  • Shape technical direction: Architect and guide the design of modern systems—cloud-native platforms, microservices, event-driven architectures, and automation frameworks—that enable agility and scale
  • Translate ambiguity into clarity: Synthesize complex, unstructured information into actionable plans and communicate technical strategies to executive and engineering audiences alike
  • Earn trust through credibility: Collaborate with architects and engineers to validate approaches, pressure-test ideas, and facilitate technical consensus
  • Influence and expand relationships: Build lasting client partnerships through advisory engagement, identifying opportunities for Liatrio to create additional value
  • Guide and mentor teams: Coach Liatrio architects and engineering leaders to strengthen delivery excellence and elevate our overall technical community
  • Represent Liatrio externally: Contribute to thought leadership through conference talks, blogs, and executive workshops, reinforcing Liatrio’s position as a trusted modernization partner
