Requirements

Candidates are required to possess an MSc or PhD degree, or equivalent experience, in Biology, Molecular Biology/Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a forensics lab environment, including data analysis and research & development. Strong technical skills and confidence are needed, along with proficiency in Arabic, English, and French languages. Previous experience with AB / Thermo Fisher Scientific HID technology is preferred, and experience with ISO 17025 accreditation is a bonus. A valid driver's license is also required.

Responsibilities

The Field Applications Specialist will perform post-sales in-house and on-site support activities, including telephone and email support, customer training, and troubleshooting. They will close customer inquiries and complaints, collaborate with EMEA HID FAS experts to resolve issues, support the sales team in achieving business plans through customer visits and product promotion, and provide pre-sales support such as demonstrations and seminars. The role also involves establishing contacts with key opinion leaders, introducing and supporting new products, and providing intelligence to local and European Sales & Marketing on market conditions and customer needs. Additionally, the specialist will engage in field work, including travel to Western African countries, and collaborate efficiently within a team to address issues and reach consensus, while prioritizing tasks and working independently.
