Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years of security domain experience without a degree, or an equivalent higher degree. They should have at least 8 years of experience in digital forensics, incident response, or security engineering, specifically within SaaS or healthcare environments. Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare security and privacy standards is required, along with preferred certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, EnCE, CHFI, or similar.
The Staff Security Engineer - Forensic Engineer will lead complex digital forensic investigations into security incidents involving PHI/PII across various systems, including endpoints, networks, SaaS platforms, and cloud infrastructure. They will perform forensic analysis to determine the scope, impact, and root cause of security breaches or data loss events, develop and maintain investigation procedures and forensic toolkits, and partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams on HIPAA-related investigations and e-discovery matters. The role also involves producing detailed investigation reports for internal and external stakeholders, and proactively enhancing forensic readiness across the organization.
