Responsibilities

  • Manages daily work and safety of associates in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration, beverage, power industrial equipment, MHE, automation, and security
  • Oversees labor hours and consumable supplies within budget
  • Prepares work schedules, including extra days and shifts
  • Coordinates emergency response, crisis management, and liaises with local emergency entities; assists Safety Manager with training
  • Supervises selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of company assets for facilities, beverage, equipment, MHE, automation, and security
  • Coordinates with departments for efficient upgrades and repairs
  • Develops relationships with third-party vendors (janitorial, pest, security, contractors, etc.) and maintains insurance/certificates
  • Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reductions, and implements changes
  • Establishes preventative maintenance schedules for all systems, equipment, and buildings
  • Handles assignments, monitors department projects for quality and timely completion
  • Utilizes maintenance tracking software
  • Conducts audits for inspections and documentation
  • Preserves associate relations through meetings, communication, morale monitoring, and idea response
  • Interprets, trains on, and enforces company policies and procedures
  • Coordinates with Safety department for training, observations, work methods, accident investigations, and inspections
  • Makes recommendations for disciplinary action
