Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, etc.), routing, switching, and firewall configuration
Deep expertise in Kubernetes including familiarity with production issues/solutions
Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and multi-threaded programming
In-depth knowledge of OS

Responsibilities

Serve as senior level network and system expert to define and lead Enterprise storage product efforts
Design, specify, and lead the implementation of networking features of the storage array
Implement and enforce network security policies and manage access controls
Collaborate across organizations (Hardware, Firmware, System management, Network teams, Architects, etc.) to arrive at best solutions
Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including IO path, storage management, databases, and cloud-related applications
Design custom protocols for Distributed systems and High Availability of network
Make fault tolerant network design choices with performance/complexity tradeoffs
Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture
Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of system; identify and debug issues with code and integration into system architecture
Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and external partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution
Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members
Design, develop, and troubleshoot system software programs for enhancements and new products for storage systems
Develop system/platform software in area of networking on the storage arrays
Design, configure, and install various network devices and services, from routing, switching, and firewalls
