Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years experience in a sales role within a software/data/services organization with a proven record of driving consultative sales across buy-side institutions in Japan
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (relevant certifications in sales or channel management advantageous)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and cross-cultural skills
  • Ability to build trust among diverse clients and adeptness at cross-functional teamwork
  • Desire to continually learn and add new technical and selling skills
  • Ability to establish key relationships within strategic accounts, including senior client relationships at C-levels
  • Highly motivated and target/quota driven with proven ability in accurate pipeline management from initial lead to close
  • Fluent Japanese and professional English for client and internal communication

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and target Japanese buy-side clients; adapt the value proposition to local needs and accurately maintain sales forecasts in Salesforce
  • Understand client investment processes, pain points, and technology requirements; customize demos to showcase how the software fits existing workflows and recommend solutions; deliver revenue-generating and adoption/usage goals
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with C-level executives, stakeholders, including IT and investment teams
  • Work closely with sales operations, marketing, product management, and other internal teams to ensure effective pipeline development aligned with go-to-market strategies
