Requirements

  • In-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline (sales of Comcast Commercial Internet, Video, and Voice services)
  • Knowledge of Network Design, MAN technologies & designs (DSx, OC-x, WDM, Ethernet), Internet Technologies, Voice Network Technologies (VoIP), Data Networking Technologies (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN), Networking Protocols (Layers 1,2, & 3), Customer Premise Equipment (voice & data), Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery concepts, and E-rate Contracting Processes
  • Ability to determine own work priorities and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with skill in presenting, persuading, and negotiating
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
  • Exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver face-to-face sales presentations demonstrating knowledge of latest Comcast products and services, with goals of exceeding departmental financial and unit targets
  • Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to position Comcast Business Services effectively
  • Develop sales territory, including cultivation of local partnerships and organizational affiliations
  • Actively generate new leads through prospecting activities such as cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships
  • Actively promote and position the Comcast brand within the territory
  • Retain customer base by delivering on the Comcast Credo, ensuring superior customer experience, maintaining and building relationships, and collaborating with internal teams for operational efficiencies and service levels
  • Maintain accurate and quality sales records and prepare sales and activity reports as required
  • Attend out-of-office meetings with customers on a regular basis
  • Understand and apply Operating Principles; own the customer experience; be enthusiastic learners, users, and advocates of Comcast's technology, products, services, and digital tools
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
