A strong focus on scalability, performance, and quality is essential, along with high empathy and excellent communication skills. A BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required. Experience with Go, Kubernetes, Flink, Kafka, and BigQuery is a significant advantage.
The Engineering Manager will lead the design and evolution of Reddit's Data Pipeline, driving projects that align with company goals. They will build and grow a high-performing team, establish best practices for data production and governance, and ensure the pipeline's reliability and low latency at scale. Responsibilities also include collaborating with other engineering teams to meet their data needs and extending data infrastructure capabilities across multiple environments.
