  • 4+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager
  • Strong coding, design, and architectural skills with hands-on technical expertise

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10-20 software engineers, fostering ownership and impact
  • Drive on-time, high-quality product delivery
  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices
  • Work closely with Product Managers to maintain a holistic view across engineering and product
  • Contribute to engineering and product strategy, including wearing a product manager hat when needed
  • Help the organization scale and grow by attracting and grooming the best talent
  • Drive better efficiency and process improvement for the team’s and product’s operations
  • Be hands-on in technical architecture/reviews and contribute to code when needed
  • Own the ultimate outcome and success of Payroll at Workstream
  • Work closely with product and engineering to jointly scope R&D roadmap for mid-market and enterprise implementations
