Delivery Leader - LLM Training

Position Overview

Turing is seeking a Delivery Leader for its LLM Training business. This role is crucial in leading efforts to develop high-quality, foundational LLMs. The position involves managing large teams of software engineers and data scientists focused on Supervised Fine Tuning (SFT) and Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) tasks. The Delivery Leader will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of superior SFT and RLHF datasets, optimizing for quality, throughput, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large teams of Python, JavaScript, Java, and other language developers to execute technical tasks effectively.
• Collaborate closely with researcher clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivered work.
• Maintain rigorous review processes to guarantee the highest quality of datasets.
• Oversee project transitions from initiation to stable states, taking full responsibility for delivery.
• Identify and implement measures to enhance the quality of code (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.) within the team.
• Ensure high-quality team output, addressing issues related to question clarity, methodology, result communication, or bugs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing large technical teams in a delivery-oriented role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following, ideally both:
  • Python
  • JavaScript
• Ability to engage in hands-on technical work, identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, focusing on team motivation and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a focus on effective collaboration with clients and internal partners.
