Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in cloud operations or DevOps engineering. Strong proficiency in AWS and Azure, including core services like EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, and Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, and Storage Accounts is required. In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration, experience with Java-based applications and their deployment on cloud platforms, and proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell are also necessary. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet, a strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing), excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong communication skills are essential. This role requires working a night shift and being on-call for urgent issues.
The Engineer/Senior Engineer - Cloud Operations will proactively monitor the health and performance of cloud infrastructure and applications, implement alerting systems, and analyze system logs and metrics. They will respond to incidents and outages, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, and conduct root cause analysis. Responsibilities also include deploying and configuring infrastructure components on AWS and Azure, managing Kubernetes clusters, and automating routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools. Additionally, they will identify and implement performance optimization strategies, conduct load testing and capacity planning, and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure application deployment and infrastructure reliability.
