How You Will Make an Impact

As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering flawless service and exceeding customer expectations. Your expertise in rapid elemental analysis and other material applications will be instrumental in providing outstanding service and support.

What You Will Do

  • Represent our company in a positive, professional manner, ensuring outstanding customer care both externally and internally.
  • Based in Lyon, you will frequently travel across France, Benelux, Switzerland, and occasionally other countries within EMEA.
  • Own and deliver service commitments, including installations, repairs, data analysis, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and training on X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometers (XRF) and Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES).

  • Provide remote and on-site services within agreed conditions, setting strict priorities.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, documentation, and protocols tailored to internal and customer needs.
  • Foster strong customer relationships to maintain high levels of customer dedication and promote an outstanding customer experience.
  • Collaborate with commercial colleagues to deliver profitable customer deals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or equivalent education, preferably in electrical engineering, chemistry, or engineering.

Experience

  • Five years of work experience in technical services.
  • Field service experience (technical) or strong service knowledge.
  • Preferable knowledge in heavy industrial processes such as metallurgy, mining, geology and geochemistry, petroleum, polymers, and glass.
  • Proven skills in electromechanical, software, and application issue resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral, in English.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in challenging and stressful situations.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics and mechanics.
  • Professional demeanor and customer-friendly attitude.
  • Proficiency in PC literacy, including MS Office and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% (up to 4 nights per week in a hotel).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Self-organized and efficient.
