Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to rent a vehicle and possess basic computer skills including Office Suite, Google Suite, and email. Prior experience with field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring is a plus, as is prior knowledge of operating a bucket truck. Comfortability driving a work van or pickup truck and towing a trailer, along with prior use of power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment, is necessary. Handyman-like experience and good time-management, organization, and communication skills are required. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, on ladders at high heights, and be able to perform frequent bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and independently lifting up to 50 lbs.
The Traveling Installation Technician will install poles, including digging holes, mounting solar panels and external batteries, and affixing cameras with PTZ technology. They will work on equipment at heights of up to 30 feet using bucket trucks and ladders, and repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring. Technicians will perform administrative tasks such as inventory management and receiving product shipments, and meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys. They will also interpret traffic control plans and permit drawings to identify proper installation locations and provide installation pictures via the Flock field app.
