Responsibilities
Serve as a primary contact to manage the performance management processes for both hourly and salaried employees, including coaching and counseling support
Partner with leaders to develop and monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees and review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations
Advise and guide managers on disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations
Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, allegations of misconduct, or violations of company policies; recommend follow-up actions as necessary and ensure all appropriate next steps are followed
Serve as a primary point of contact to investigate workplace issues and conflicts, providing guidance, support, and resolution strategies
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy
Collaborate with HR business partners, legal counsel, and management to ensure consistency and compliance in addressing complex employee relations issues and mitigate risk to the organization
Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a culture of respect, fairness, and professionalism
Train managers and supervisors on best practices for handling employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations
Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential liabilities
Analyze trends and patterns in employee relations issues; identify areas for improvement and recommend proactive measures to address root causes
