Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary contact to manage the performance management processes for both hourly and salaried employees, including coaching and counseling support
  • Partner with leaders to develop and monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees and review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations
  • Advise and guide managers on disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, allegations of misconduct, or violations of company policies; recommend follow-up actions as necessary and ensure all appropriate next steps are followed
  • Serve as a primary point of contact to investigate workplace issues and conflicts, providing guidance, support, and resolution strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, legal counsel, and management to ensure consistency and compliance in addressing complex employee relations issues and mitigate risk to the organization
  • Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a culture of respect, fairness, and professionalism
  • Train managers and supervisors on best practices for handling employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential liabilities
  • Analyze trends and patterns in employee relations issues; identify areas for improvement and recommend proactive measures to address root causes
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
