Requirements

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets, and processes
  • Experience of a complex system’s product development (ideally Weapon System systems design and validation)
  • Experience working across the full engineering development lifecycle
  • Experience of carrying out systems integration
  • Understanding of Electromagnetic Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Support / Surveillance systems
  • Strong record of delivery
  • Experience in capability assessments and road-mapping
  • Track record of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in requirements management toolsets (e.g. DOORS)
  • Must hold, or be willing to apply for, DV clearance (British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship)

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring various aspects of a Weapon System’s EW capability (covering system design, integration, and operational context / applicability) is fit for purpose
  • Ensuring the associated design is developed within required timescales and budget
  • Acting as the EW requirements authority for elements of a Weapon System
  • Acting as the EW System design lead for elements of a Weapon System
  • Collaborating with suppliers, customers, and a large range of internal and external stakeholders
