Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, and zero to three years of related experience. An associate degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred, along with knowledge of Autodesk AutoCad, Autodesk Revit, and/or Microstation. Strong written and verbal communication and coordination skills are also required, as well as the ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Substation Designer will perform CAD drafting for electrical substation projects, create new or update existing drawings, follow CAD standards, maintain accurate and quality work, and work on multiple projects simultaneously. They will seek resolutions to non-standard analytical problems, work closely with Project Managers and Engineers, attend project meetings, and attend site visits as needed. The position also requires attending seminars and training classes, maintaining a safe working environment, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
