Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing marketplace businesses such as Rakuten and Amazon
Proficient in Rakuten Merchant Server and Amazon Seller/Vendor Central
Proven track record in key eCommerce functions: merchandising, sales forecasting, KPI tracking, advertising, and customer service
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
Collaborative team leader with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
Fluent in Japanese; proficient in written business English (able to create documents in English)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
Experience in global companies, consumer electronics, or major eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Rakuten, Yahoo!) is a plus

Responsibilities

Play a key leadership role in shaping and executing the overall eCommerce strategy
Lead the eCommerce business to achieve revenue and margin goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with marketplace partners to develop mutually beneficial solutions that support growth and brand equity
Collaborate with internal teams (Retail Sales, Product, Operations) to optimize product assortment, segmentation, pricing, and promotional strategies
Partner with the Digital Marketing team to plan and optimize advertising campaigns both on and off the eCommerce platforms
Ensure a seamless customer experience through effective operational execution, including product launches, content management in coordination with eCommerce Operations, Content Production, and Customer Support
Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing or emerging marketplaces
