Position Overview

NGP VAN is seeking a dedicated individual to join our client services team. You will be on the front line, providing support to Democratic campaigns, parties, PACs, and progressive organizations utilizing our technology platform. This role involves not only exceptional customer service but also conducting web-based training and onboarding new clients. As an expert practitioner, you will empower our clients to achieve their social missions, which are at the core of NGP VAN's work. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about our clients and their causes.

Salary

US Base Salary Range: $49,000 - $58,000

  • The displayed range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations.

Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of the NGP VAN business line and provide basic support for Digital tools.
  • Dedicate at least 90% of time to handling cases and phone interactions.
  • May serve as a backup to an Account Manager for assigned clients.
  • Conduct public training sessions for the business line and Digital tools.
  • Follow direction from Team Leads on cases to meet team claiming standards.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated and passionate interest in Democratic + progressive politics and ideals.
  • Proficiency with technology.
  • Willingness to work with diverse organizations requiring assistance.
  • At least two years of experience working with compliance, fundraising, and/or email tools for political campaigns, unions, or nonprofits.
  • Experience using our API in some capacity through a custom integration or a system like DNC's Phoenix.
  • Experience using NGP8, EveryAction, VAN, or VoteBuilder (or their competitors) in a day-to-day capacity, either administering other users or playing a leadership role in a campaign or organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Professional phone manner and exceptional patience.
  • Proven ability to self-motivate and a demonstrated work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
  • Previous experience in teaching or training, including mentoring, tutoring, and/or software support.
  • Experience in customer relations or an equivalent field is valued, though not required.
