District Sales Manager - Buick/GMC (Tri-Cities, MI)

Position Overview

This role involves managing and engaging Buick GMC dealerships within your assigned territory by visiting and collaborating with them. You will be directly involved with our products and services, potentially contributing to marketing initiatives, customer retention strategies, product displays, financial analysis, and training. The ultimate goal is to ensure our dealers understand and excel at selling our products to end customers. This is a fast-paced position where no two days are the same. Success requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to influence, and excellent time management.

Remote Work & Territory

This position is remote, enabling the employee to work off-site on a permanent basis. However, the role requires regular territory visits to dealerships. The candidate must reside within 50 miles of the assigned territory: Tri-Cities, MI (Saginaw, Midland, Bay City).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between GM, its dealerships, and additional GM Partners.
  • Grow and foster partnerships with dealerships.
  • Facilitate mentorship and consulting to ensure monthly/yearly sales objectives are met.
  • Track dealership Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) or other customer feedback resources to identify and address deficiencies or opportunities.
  • Assist in product launches, ensuring streamlined marketing and advertising between dealers, independent aftermarket (IAM), and GM.
  • Monitor dealership personnel training and ensure compliance with GM requirements/objectives.
  • Assist with dealership inventory management, including vehicle and/or parts ordering and inventory stabilizing.
  • Analyze dealer sales, local market, and competition to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Increase sales of GM vehicles and Accessory parts.
  • Assist in customer problem resolution.
  • Travel to dealerships within your designated region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years in sales and customer service.
  • Ability to travel 100%, be mobile now and in the future, and relocate anywhere within the United States.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be legally able to operate a motor vehicle regularly. A company vehicle will be provided.
