Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute district business plans and strategies to deliver on financial measures including P&L Management, Sales and Script budgets, Inventory Management (Front Store and Pharmacy), Payroll Management (Front Store and Pharmacy), and Asset Protection and Shrink budget accountabilities (50% Operations)
  • Know the competitive landscape and business trends to proactively plan and capitalize on opportunities
  • Align front store and pharmacy teams on new and existing programs, services, and execution expectations within the District
  • Align team to deliver on healthcare outcomes and initiatives
  • Communicate District plans and problem solve on store-related issues
  • Create/lead District culture that ensures differentiated customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy
  • Ensure compliance with all community responsibility activities
  • Develop and execute district talent plan to align region and division priorities (30% Talent)
  • Create a culture in the District that promotes colleague growth and engagement
  • Ensure high quality and consistent execution of all colleague training and development programs
  • Develop District succession plans and development
  • Create a pipeline of talent, hiring and developing Store and Pharmacy Managers, Staff Pharmacists, and interns
  • Ensure store staffing plans are considered at district level
  • Develop and mentor future District Leadership talent
  • Ensure the District has the right talent focused on delivering appropriate outcomes
  • Provide market specific input and knowledge towards the development of the acquisition and real estate strategy (20% Portfolio Growth)
  • Implement real estate strategy and provide acquisition support
  • Identify file buy and acquisition leads, cultivate relationships with competitors, and ensure retention of file buy assets
  • Execute and deliver key programs and services taking into account unique district attributes
  • Implement new programs in both front store and pharmacy
