Responsibilities

Designs processes, procedures, and layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling
Designs the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure efficient and productive layout
Designs the sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the different processes
Incorporates inspection and test requirements into plans
Inspects the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and investigates/initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements
Utilizes equipment and logistic techniques effectively
