Responsibilities

  • Designs processes, procedures, and layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling
  • Designs the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure efficient and productive layout
  • Designs the sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the different processes
  • Incorporates inspection and test requirements into plans
  • Inspects the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and investigates/initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements
  • Utilizes equipment and logistic techniques effectively
