Position Overview
As the Director of Product Success Engineering, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for the technical success of SpyCloud’s most strategic customers. This is a true player/coach role: you’ll mentor and manage a team of Product Success Engineers while personally owning technical relationships with key enterprise accounts. You’ll guide customers in integrating SpyCloud’s data and APIs into their security and fraud ecosystems, while scaling internal processes and best practices that elevate our post-sales technical delivery. You’ll need strong domain expertise in cybersecurity, identity, and fraud prevention, along with the technical depth to lead complex API and data workflow integrations. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in technical conversations, builds trusted relationships, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves in support of customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
Hands-On Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of Product Success Engineers focused on onboarding, integration, and long-term technical enablement.
- Personally engage with strategic enterprise accounts as the senior technical advisor—modeling what great looks like in technical depth, responsiveness, and customer partnership.
- Drive professional development, coaching, and hands-on support for your team across accounts, tools, and delivery excellence.
Strategic Customer Engagement
- Lead deep technical engagements with high-value customers—architecting secure, scalable integrations with SpyCloud’s APIs and data pipelines.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers to develop strategic plans that align technical outcomes with enterprise objectives.
- Serve as a domain expert in identity protection, ATO prevention, threat intelligence, and fraud mitigation—guiding how customers embed SpyCloud into their critical workflows.
API & Integration Expertise
- Lead architecture and implementation guidance for RESTful API integrations, custom automation, and security data workflows.
- Support customers in embedding SpyCloud into ecosystems such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), SOAR (Cortex XSOAR), IAM (Okta, Azure AD), and data lakes.
- Troubleshoot complex API issues, optimize data delivery formats (JSON, CSV), and contribute reusable scripts and integration patterns.
Industry & Domain Expertise
- Apply subject matter expertise in areas such as Identity, Account Takeover, Fraud Detection, Threat Intelligence, and/or Security Operations.
- Advise customers on deploying SpyCloud effectively within their security and identity infrastructure.
- Serve as a trusted partner in shaping customer workflows that rely on SpyCloud’s intelligence data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Feedback
- Act as a voice of the customer to Product and Engineering—capturing integration challenges, roadmap opportunities, and usage insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve onboarding experiences, documentation, and technical enablement resources.
- Influence platform and API evolution based on real-world customer integration needs.
Operational Excellence
- Define and track KPIs around integration success, account health, and technical engagement quality.
- Standardize processes, templates, and best practices to drive consistency and scale across the team efficiently.
- Ensure the team is equipped to support a growing number of use cases and product capabilities.
Requirements
- 8+ years in post-sales technical roles, including at least 2+ years of team leadership (manager or director-level).
- Proven ability to lead complex technical integrations and manage customer relationships.
- Strong domain expertise in cybersecurity, identity management, fraud prevention, or threat intelligence.
- Deep understanding of APIs (RESTful), data formats (JSON, CSV), and common security/identity ecosystems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
