Candidates should possess 5+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role, prior experience in multicultural marketing or targeting Chinese business owners is required, a strong understanding of Chinese culture and the U.S. Chinese restaurant ecosystem, bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is required, proven success in brand building, content marketing, and partnership development, ideally in B2B environments, strong writing and editing skills, experience managing budgets and leading small teams, and a strategic thinking, cultural intelligence, communication skills, results-oriented mindset, agility, and leadership qualities.
The Director of Marketing will oversee brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all channels targeting the Chinese restaurant sector, develop and manage brand identity, monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine brand strategy, develop compelling content strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels, oversee PR initiatives including media relations and tailored to Chinese audiences, identify and manage strategic partnerships and collaborations, plan and execute industry events, leverage events to generate leads, build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, manage recruitment, training, and professional development of marketing staff, develop and manage the marketing budget, track and report on marketing spend and ROI, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing investments.
