Requirements

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-site technical operations or testing delivery
  • Strong cross-functional program leadership skills — particularly in high-velocity or R&D settings
  • Comfortable working closely with Engineering, Product, and Test/Validation teams to deliver programs on the road
  • Excellent command of operational planning, milestone tracking, and structured execution
  • Confident in interpreting technical requirements (e.g. software maturity, test conditions, platform constraints) and turning them into executable delivery plans
  • Experience managing and scaling distributed teams, ideally across regions or time zones
  • Experience in autonomous systems, robotics, automotive engineering, or aerospace (desirable)
  • Understanding (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of real-world testing across UK, US, DE, and JP — across internal R&D and OEM programs
  • Manage regional Heads of Fleet Ops and the Demonstrations Manager, aligning priorities and maintaining test readiness
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Program teams to operationalise feature and milestone testing, including test routes, schedules, and configs
  • Define and lead global test planning cycles, execution cadences, and milestone delivery processes
  • Drive consistent, high-quality test execution across regions, sites, and programs
  • Coordinate across technical domains to align test needs with system maturity (e.g. releases, hardware readiness, validation goals)
  • Surface risks, blockers, and delivery gaps early, and lead structured reviews and escalations to course-correct
  • Champion consistent operating practices and strong interfaces between Fleet Ops and technical teams

Wayve

Develops autonomous vehicle technology using AI

About Wayve

Wayve.ai develops self-driving technology known as AV2.0, which focuses on creating a smarter and safer approach to autonomous vehicles. Their technology uses embodied AI software that allows vehicles to learn from their experiences and adapt to different environments without needing detailed programming. This method is different from traditional self-driving technologies that often rely on expensive hardware and pre-mapped data. Instead, Wayve.ai employs end-to-end deep learning, making their solution more cost-effective for automakers. The company targets automakers and fleet operators, offering them adaptable and affordable solutions for driving automation. Wayve.ai has already partnered with major retailers in the UK to test its technology in delivery fleets, aiming to enhance mobility and sustainability in the automotive industry.
