Experience working with in-house creative teams, collaborating with various disciplines like design, content strategy, research, engineering, and product management is essential. The role requires experience in directly addressing ambiguous problems with product and engineering to develop overarching strategies, establishing credibility with senior executives, and leading/scaling operations within SaaS or Digital environments. Proven experience in building and nurturing a collaborative and inclusive team environment is also necessary.
The Director of Design Operations will act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to design leadership, contributing to the strategy, vision, and operational plan for the Cross-Cloud Product and Platform (CCPP) design organization. This role involves partnering with cross-functional leadership to drive creative alignment and decision-making, enabling a highly effective UX design organization. Key responsibilities include scaling strategic design initiatives, simplifying complex problems through iterative operational improvements, and leading/coaching a team of program managers within a large, multidisciplinary design organization. The Director will foster a culture of collaboration and user-focused design excellence, advocate for design-led product development, build cross-organizational bridges to enhance design impact, and own communications and operations for the design team to maintain team morale and support a healthy design culture.
